saintstigersloversart: I do know an artist however, whose work is influenced and inspired by his love of the ‘glitter and doom’ painters of 1920’s and 30’s Weimar Republic Germany, like Christian Schad. His name is Jared Joslin, and his contemporary take on these kind of portraits is arresting and beautifully executed. Here is his ‘Swallows’. Bravo Jared. Jared shares his site with his lovely and talented wife, Jessica, who is an amazing surrealist sculptor. I will post some of Jessica’s exceptional work in a later entry.
